Hero Or Dark Chao
To make a Chao a Hero, simply use a Hero character and keep pressing B or X to pet them. If done long enough, it will go white and be a Hero. To make it Dark, just use a Dark character and do the same thing.

Good And Evil Chao Races
Get a good Chao and a bad Chao to unlock the good and evil Chao races.

Pumpkin Head For Chao
Find one of the Skeleton Dogs; the easiest place to do so is the Pumpkin Hill stage with Knuckles, and combine it with your Chao. With either Knuckles or Rouge, start digging around in the Chao Garden. Eventually a pumpkin will appear. If you give it to the Chao mixed with the Skeleton Dog it will put it on its head. If you want to take it off, either throw or hit your Chao.

Wake A Sleeping Chao
To wake a sleeping Chao, stand next to it and whistle. You do not have to anger them by picking them up during a nap.

Chao Pillow
Go to a Chao Garden and get a coconut. Then with a sleeping Chao, pick up the coconut and put it by the its head. The coconut will act as a pillow.

Get The Gold, Silver And Black Chaos From Sonic Adventure
Load Sonic Adventure, then go to the Chao Garden where the Chao you want in Sonic Adventure 2 is located. Put it into Chao Adventure. Load Sonic Adventure 2 and go to a Chao Garden. Go to the transporter. On the VMU with Chao Adventure, there should be an egg. It is the egg for your Chao from Sonic Adventure. When it hatches, it will be back to its first form. The only thing transferred is the name, but the Gold Chao will be gold, the Silver Chao will be silver, and the Black Chao will be black. Note: If you pet or try to influence the Chao you imported, it will lose it original colors.

Run On Foot In City Escape Stage
At the start of the City Escape stage, instead of landing on the ground with the board, scrape the roads on the board. When on foot run full speed at a wall and get knocked down. Pause the game if you fall after hitting the wall. Choose to restart the stage to run on foot and not on the board.

Quickly Complete Security Hall Stage
In the Security Hall stage you play as Rouge The Bat and are given 5 minutes to complete it. This can be quite difficult. If you have enough lives you can do this trick. If you cannot seem to find the Emeralds, intentionally die. You will keep the existing Emeralds that you have collected. You will begin at the start of the level and the Emeralds will move to different places. This is the fastest method for completing the stage if you are having trouble.

Super Sonic And Super Shadow
After beating both hero and dark stories you will get a new story,its called Last Stage? beat that and you will be able to play as super sonic and super shadow

Extra Masks
There are 2 other masks other than the pumpkin for the chao garden. You can get the skull by using knuckles or rouge, go to the dark garden and dig around, you should eventually find it.The other mask is an eggshell, whenever a little chao comes out of the egg give the eggshell to a chao. (In order to use the masks give a chao a skeletal dog).

See Big The Cat
On Tails's first stage in one of the jail cells you will see Big The Cat.

Unlock Metal Shadow
This one is simple. All you have to do is get all of Shadow's emblems and you will be able to play as metal shadow in two player mode. Im not sure if it works with the other charecters but i'll bet it does.

Big The Cat's Other Appearences
Big the cat also can be seen in Shadow's highway level (forgot the name) right after u get on one of those rocket things you'll see a blimp that says "Got Ring?" as you're falling from being on the rocket you'll see him sitting on the blimp's fin thing. He also makes an appearence in the highway level for tails. It hard mode only though I think. Its right at the end a bridge will fall on you from above (not the one right before the big ring/goal thing) after it falls look up you can clearly see Big the Cat (or Fat in this case I guess he stepped on it and it couldn't take it). Ok one more time that ive noticed. This one is in the level for knuckles/rouge were u get the keys to open the door thing. In that level some were is a metal center thing with gizmos and duhickeys rotaiting around and stuff. If u look at it you can see Big in there in the middle.

Dark Garden

Successfully complete Tails' driving quest in the Hero side story to unlock the kart racing mini-game in the Hero side story. Successfully complete Rouge's chase mission in the Dark side story to unlock the kart racing mini-game in the Dark side story.

Boss Attack Mode
Successfully complete the Hero or Dark side story modes to unlock boss attack mode. You will be able to fight the bosses from the side of the story you completed.

Last Stage

Big The Cat Appearance
In Knuckles' Pumpkin Hill level, go to the one of the train gates. You can see Big The Cat hiding behind the gate, waving to you. You can also see him in the battle against Sonic while playing as Shadow.

Bonus Stage
To get a 3D version of the Green Hills Zone stage, from Sonic The Hedgehog, you must get all the Emblems, including Kart, Timed Boss, and the emblems for all "A" rating. Once you have them all, which should total 180, the island next to the Green Forest stage will have the face of Sonic on it.

Big The Cats Secret Helicopter Appearance Code
During Sonic's intro where he's escaping from the G.U.N. Helicopter press A then B as fast as you can. If it worked you will see Big the Cat pop his head out of the helicopter to see what Sonic's doing.

None Stop Unicorns
Go to the stage select. Than go to dry lagon with rouge. At first you need to free the poor turtle. Then you take a ride in him to the second oasis. Go to thhe place were the wird spikes are in a circle. Whistle once and a Unicorn will pop out pick it up and press start and reset. Do this again and again but make sure at the last time you grab the choa key or nothing will happen.

Extra Boost
To get an extra boost in "Kart Mode" go on the boost which is located on the floor and one secound before you go on it press "A+A" on the contol pad to get an extra boost. (To see if it worked your racres front wheels should go up).

Double Speed
Ok first get in 2 player mode with a stage that has a run powerup, lets choose radical highway. Ok go through the stage as normal and be sure to have 20 rings (Speed Up) when you see a run powerup-1 is at the beginning at the stage stage where the first chao box is suppose to be in 1P mode.ok use you speed up near the run powerup and sonic will say "Speed Up!" Now get the run powerup fast as you can.And when you have it you will be like 3x faster than normal speed. Try it with Shadow its funny!Even if u press restart this will remain. So this is a good cheat to beat your opponent!

Space Sonic

Faster Countdowns
On two player mode, when Sonic does Time Stop or Shadow does Chaos Control it will start counting down and when it does keep pressing A. This will make it go a little bit faster.

When your trying to get a hero or dark chao a it seems that it takes to long, pick him up and jump aroud with him and he will start to clap.

Faster Chao Hatch
Pick up a chao egg, run toward a wall, and toss the egg at it. The chao should pop out and have a little tornado over his head.

Normal Chao
Which is just a normal adult Chao whom didn't evolve into all the above types. Look just like a normal Chao except a little bigger and walks and swims properly. To get this chao, give it a bunch of different classes of animals and/or differnt colors of Chaos Drives.

Just pick him up and throw him around. If you throw him at a bad guy, he'll blow up. You can even shoot him with Eggman or Tails while he's flying around your head.

Upside Down 'V' Shaped Smile: Throw the egg against the wall.

Super Rare Chao
Ghost Chao ~ Give your Chao a Skeleton Dog then some Half Fish (this will give it a flame dot). After, give your Chao some Bats to make it's legs dissapear and then give your Chao a skull or pumpkin hat. It will then put on the hat and you will have a Ghost Chao. (It is best if you make this Chao Dark) Evil Bunny Footed Chao ~ Make a Dark Chao. Give some Rabbit's to it, then some Skeleton Dogs until it is left with only Rabbit legs. (This may not work first time as the Skeleton Dogs may take away the legs) Once it has only Rabbit legs, give it a skull hat and it will be an Evil Bunny Footed Chao. Cockroach Chao ~ Get a Black Chao, (either one from the Black Market or a Dark Chao) and give it some Dragons. After, give it some Skeleton Dogs until just the anttena of the Dragon are left on the Chao. Mystic Chao ~ Download a Jewel Chao from the SA2 Homepage (Looks best with the Green Emerald Chao). Then, give the Chao some Dragons. Once you have done that, give it Skeleton Dogs so it leaves only the Dragons horns and it's tail (That can be very tricky and may require a few attempts). Halloween Chao ~ Make a White/Hero Chao and give it a Skeleton Dog. Then give it Bats to make its legs disappear and lastly, give it a Pumpkin Hat.

Invisible Board!
During play on sonics level Metel Harbor, press the Y (green) button on controller 2, Sonic will appear to be riding a board. Note: when this happens, get hit by an enemy to get out of the board.

Fast Knuckles 2
How to make knuckles go fast is too turn him into super knuckles then get a speed box and u will go faster then lightning (if you dont know how to get super knuckles you have to get all the choas emralds with rouge and sonic you have to get all his levels done in less then 3 minutes and get all Acs with knuckles then when you get all of knuckles levels done with Acs play as that other echidna girl from sonic adventure 1 in kart race mode and beat it all 3 of them in less than 1 minute) take my advice dont really try this its just to make knuckles go faster instead of sieng knuckles go faster do the sonic thing by going faster.
